4. How to use PressReader on your smartphone or tablet

With the PressReader app you can (if you are in the library) collect publications on your smartphone or tablet for reading whenever you want.
The only condition is that you are logged on to the library’s WiFi/wireless network.
In the video course, you will get a guided tour through the app. This video has been made on an iPhone, however, the app offers exactly the same functions on all units.

When you have been using PressReader at a hotspot, you can continue downloading the content of your choice for a couple of hours.
If e.g. you are visiting the library for only 5 minutes to return a book and then you set out on a long journey by bus or by train, you can go on borrowing publications after having left the library. Provided that you continue being logged on to the hotspot and provided that you opened the app while still in the library.
It is working as long as long as the hotspot icon (the green coffee cup) displays at the top of your screen.

A PressReader hotspot is a location offering free wireless internet. Via the internet connection, you also get access to the entire content of PressReader. Most libraries and many hotels subscribe to Press Reader and are thus defined as PressReader hotspots.
